Frederick is an eight-year-old boy. His passion for music especially the piano began at the age of 4½. Studying with Mrs. Aster Lai, Frederick passed his RCM Grade 7 practical piano examination with first class honors in 2008. In 2009, Frederick was awarded third place in the piano age 7 category at the National Canadian Music Competition. At the Yip's Music Festival he placed first in Grade 8 Chopin Class. This year Frederick was awarded first place and best of class in the piano age 11 and under category at the Kiwanis Music Festival.
As his love for music continues to grow, Frederick loves to perform at Gala's such as the Arts Richmond Hill Gala Concert 2008, Chinese-Canadian Performing Arts Festival 2009, as well as the Aster's Music House Fundraising Concert for Canadian Sinfonietta in September 2009.
Aside from his musicality, Frederick also shows great interest in swimming, golf camp in summers and skis and skates in winters.
